Who we are /من نحن

Our workshop “Big Brother” is taking place from the 14th to the 16th of August 2018 during the Media and Digital Literacy Academy of Beirut (MDLAB) and is part of a project called “MIL for peace in Lebanon”. Our workshop is organized by Deutsche Welle Akademie and conducted by our trainers Julian, Mona, and Sylvia. What makes it special is that we are from four different schools located in very different areas around Lebanon who decided to stand up to "BIG BROTHER". We all are peers and want to share our experience and knowledge with our schoolmates at home.

تنعقد ورشة "الأخ الأكبر" من 14 إلى 16 أب/أغسطس 2018 خلال أكاديمية التربية الاعلامية والرقمية في بيروت MDLAB، وهي جزء من مشروع "التربية الإعلامية من أجل السلام في لبنان". قامت أكاديمية دويتشه فيله بتنظيم ورشتنا ويشرف عليها المدربون جوليان، منى وسيلفيا. نتميز بالتنوع. فنحن من مدارس ومناطق مختلفة في لبنان، قررنا ان نواجه "الأخ الأكبر". نحن جميعا الكشاف الإعلامي، نرغب في تبادل الخبرة والمعرفة مع زملائنا في المدرسة.

What is “MIL for peace in Lebanon”?
In the project young people acquire critical thinking and non-violent communication skills and are encouraged to produce media content that promotes peace in the society they live in. And they also learn how to produce different forms of media.
The project consists of:
Mainly young people living in Lebanon, but also: – Four partners: Deutsche Welle Akademie – Permanent Peace Movement – Media and Digital Literacy Academy of Beirut – Jesus and Mary school have joined efforts to make this three years long project successful and sustainable.  – Eight direct beneficiaries: four participating schools: Al Kawthar school, Chihim public high school, Jesus and Mary school, Rachaya public high school. – Four participating grass-root organizations: Al Abjidiyah (Bekaa), Nuon (Bekaa), Beit al Adab (Tripoli), Utopia (Tripoli).

"التربية الإعلامية من أجل السلام في لبنان":

من خلال هذا المشروع يكتسب الشباب مهارات التفكير النقدي والتواصل اللاعنفي، ويبادرون بإنتاج محتوى إعلامي يعزز السلم الأهلي للمجتمع الذي يعيشون فيه.

ينفذ مشروع التربية الاعلامية في لبنان الممول من الإتحاد الأوروبي من قبل أربعة شركاء:

– أكاديمية دويتشه فيله DW Akademie

– حركة السلام الدائم PPM

– أكاديمية التربية الإعلامية والرقمية في بيروت MDLAB

– مدرسة يسوع ومريم J&M

يتعاونون مع بعضهم البعض من أجل إنجاح هذا المشروع الذي يُنفذ على مدار ثلاث سنوات.

8 مستفيدون مباشرون:

4 مدارس: ثانوية الكوثر، ثانوية شحيم الرسمية ، مدرسة يسوع ومريم، ثانوية راشيا الرسمية

4 منظمات أهلية: الأبجدية (البقاع) ، نون (البقاع) ، جمعية بيت الآداب والعلوم (طرابلس) ، يوتوبيا (طرابلس).
